One of the few things I enjoyed about this blog, was that I could write in the first person, like this, as if I was talking to you, maybe in person, maybe on the phone.
Then I got all bogged down with style, voice and looking good while doing this. That was useless and so boring. After reading some old posts, it was hard to believe I wrote them, scary.
So, a big goodbye to all that is false, and a hello, ciao to talking to you.
I had a pretty hectic and stressful Jan & most of Feb. We had six mega events planned across the country. The travel, arrangements, getting it all together, all of it pushed us to new levels of performance. after 45 days, we just crashed for 7! no work, no nothing. we opened office this monday, the team was back and it almost felt as if we were joining back after the summer vacations. Monday was just us, getting back.
Today (tuesday, 4th march when I wrote this) was work, picking steam up. Tomm and the day after is going to be hectic, and the week after that, even more so. In the middle of all this, I want to write a book or maybe a series titled 'The General Manager in Me'(working title, suggestions please write to mail@prabhjotbedi.com), I also want to create micro sites and a hundred other things that I refuse to re-write here (they are on my to-do).
What am I talking about? wait, I am getting to it.
So, I was trying to come up with a plan, maybe a couple of hours a day on this, a couple of hours on that; maybe a dedicated day of the week of my project, a specific day for writing (this right here is way really important to me). But the only thing that kept popping back in my head was 'You want to do so much, dude!'
Its true. I do.
And then it came to me like rain comes to a hillside, like the sun comes on a sunny, cloudless day, like a smile that comes on your face on seeing your baby, the clarity came. 'if you want to do a lot, you have to do a lot'
Simple, true, valid, universal, an ode to human enterprise, to life, to nature, to nurture, to everything that never existed and to everything that will in the eons still to come.
If you want to, you have to.
Is this making you smile? Use that. let that smile slowly, yet surely spread, lay back and let it seep in.
Now, get up, and make an exhaustive list of everything you want to do, everything. Don't stop till you get everything out of your mind and put it on paper or in a journal. Oh, no no no, you can't stop there. You now need to start doing something about this list.
Take one step, but take it.
