do a google search for yourself.

I am waiting, do it now!

good. Now, if you answer NO to any of the following, you need to spend sometime managing your online identity
>Do the top 3 results point to you?
>If you follow the top 3 links, can you see your profile & contact details?
>Is your Facebook account one of the top 3 results?
hmmm, we need to do something.
This is the first step, so as to not overwhelm you.
I will in the days to come, expand this topic and deal with it in detail.
3 things you must do today:
1. visit www.linkedin.com and create a profile for yourself.
2. visit http://usernamecheck.com/ and ensure your particular username (& I suggest you make it "firstname" + "lastname") is still avialbale across a host of sites.
3. Prepare a short BIO. Maybe less than 140 characters
here is mine
"An Ideator. A personal success coach, trainer, author and professional speaker. A hospitality specialist, I help people amaze themselves!"
Ensure that the BIO you create forms the basis if not the standard text on all your online profiles.
MOTIVATION | Why you should do this?
According to research, search the most popular method to track something on the net. Make that something, someone.
New reports suggest that employers are now ensuring a web-check before hiring. The employer checks your profiles on-line to ensure there is nothing 'out-there' that should suggest you should not be hired.
Need more? if you complete the these steps, I will take a look at your linkedin.com profile and give you tips to improve that too!
do the steps and leave the link to your linkedin.com profile in the comments.
Cheers!
