ideas for new businesses

I was recently asked for ideas for new businesses. I think the possibilities are endless.

I do think, one should spend some time creating some kind of a funnel to decide which business one should jump into.this funnel could be resources, time, expertise etc.

Anyway, just to get the individual started, i gave her my thoughts:

1. Education > (funnel) Vocational > (funnel) use of new technologies for delivery

2. Health Care >(funnel) Diabetes >(funnel) Elder Care

3. Financial Services > (funnel) Money Management > (funnel) young, alone, over compensated talent!

4. Tourism >(funnel) Communities > (funnel) Unique expereinces

5. Levis Strauss Businesses... i call them so because these businesses succeed independent of who else succeeds.

Its not the gold diggers who made the most in the Wild West, it was the one selling shovels!

examples of such businesses

a. brokerage firms ( doesnt matter who is selling or buying, both ways they make money!)

b. Website hosting & development (doesnt matter which site succeeds!)

c. Car Wash (doesnt matter which car sells!)
